When I first visited Café Promenade, it reminded me of a cozy coffee shop on a busy street. It is open 24 hours a day and is located on the Royal Promenade (called the Esplanade on some ships). Guests stop by all day and night for coffee, snacks, or a quick break between activities.
The space feels modern and welcoming. There is soft lighting, comfortable seating, and both indoor and open-style seating along the Promenade. Even though it is not fully enclosed, it still feels relaxed and cozy. I loved sitting there with a coffee and watching people walk by.
What Food Is Available?
Café Promenade offers complimentary grab-and-go snacks throughout the day. All food is included in your cruise fare.
In the morning, I found warm pastries and fresh coffee. During the afternoon and late evening, there were sandwiches, pizza slices, and light deli items like roast beef or roasted red pepper sandwiches. Sweet treats like brownies, pound cake, and other desserts were also available almost all day.
This is not a place for a full four-course dinner. It is perfect for light bites when you feel a little hungry between meals.
Drinks at Café Promenade
Regular coffee and tea are free. However, specialty drinks cost extra unless you have a beverage package.
You can order drinks like lattes, cappuccinos, espressos, chai lattes, and iced coffees. Prices usually range from $2 to $6, depending on the drink. Some ships serve Starbucks coffee, while others serve Illy coffee.
If you have the Refreshment Package or Deluxe Beverage Package, most specialty coffees are included. However, drinks from a standalone Starbucks kiosk are not included and must be paid for separately.
Many guests also choose the Cafe Select Coffee Card, which gives 15 espresso-based drinks for around $31. This can be a good value if you enjoy coffee every day.
Ice Cream and Sweet Extras
