MSC Main Dining Room Menus for 2025 with Detailed Guide

When I boarded the brand new MSC World America, one of the things I was most excited about was trying the food. I had read so many great things about MSC Cruises and their dining experience, and I couldn’t wait to see if it really lived up to the hype.

I explored many of the ship’s dining options, from casual buffets to elegant specialty restaurants. Each had something different to offer, but the Main Dining Room stood out the most. It felt elegant yet comfortable, the kind of place where you could dress up a little, enjoy ocean views, and savor freshly prepared meals for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

If you’re planning to cruise with MSC in 2025, here’s what you can expect from the MSC Main Dining Room menus on World America and other ships.

MSC World America Main Dining Rooms

Like other MSC cruise ships, MSC World America features multiple beautifully designed main dining rooms spread across the ship. All the main dining rooms serve the same menus, though guests are assigned to specific venues depending on their stateroom category or booked experience level.

  • La Foglia Restaurant on Deck 5 offers evening seatings at 5:30 PM and 7:30 PM, making it a popular choice for early diners.
  • Esagono Restaurant on Deck 6 opens slightly later with dinner seatings around 5:45 PM and 8:15 PM, providing a nice balance between early and late dining options.
  • Hexagon Restaurant on Deck 6 serves dinner at 6:00 PM and 8:30 PM, often preferred by guests who enjoy a relaxed pace before evening entertainment.
  • Bubbles Restaurant on Deck 6 is one of the busiest dining spots on the ship, hosting most guests with seatings at 5:30 PM and 8:00 PM. Those with My Choice Dining (usually part of the Aurea Experience) can dine freely anytime between 5:45 PM and 9:00 PM
  • Les Dunes Restaurant on Deck 8 offers a quieter and more private atmosphere reserved exclusively for Aurea Grand Suite guests, open for flexible dining between 5:45 PM and 9:00 PM.

MSC arranges dining times according to your experience level. Bella and Fantastica guests usually have fixed early or late seatings, while Aurea guests enjoy the freedom to dine at their own pace within the open hours. Yacht Club guests have a completely separate dining area with an exclusive menu and a more private atmosphere.

When I first stepped into the Bubbles restaurant, I was immediately impressed by its elegant design. The tables were perfectly arranged with crisp linens and polished glassware. The lighting added a warm, relaxed glow that made the space feel welcoming and calm.

Even with so many guests, the room never felt rushed or crowded. The staff greeted everyone with friendly smiles and took time to make each meal feel personal. It’s a dining experience that truly captures the spirit of MSC Cruises — refined, comfortable, and memorable from the very first evening.

MSC Main Dining Room Menus

All five main dining rooms on MSC World America serve the same rotational dinner menu whether you have Assigned Dining or My Choice Dining. MSC dining room menus change each night and features a mix of rotating selections and “always available” classics.

Guests can expect a variety of appetizers, entrées, and desserts that offer both international flavors and traditional favorites. Premium options such as lobster or filet mignon are also available for a small extra charge.

Menus across MSC ships tend to stay quite consistent, so you’ll often find similar dishes on other ships in the fleet including MSC World Europa and MSC Euribia. The overall setup remains the same though a few options may change slightly depending on the cruise theme or itinerary.

While most guests associate the Main Dining Room with dinner, it’s also open for breakfast and lunch. On MSC World America, the Hexagon Restaurant serves breakfast from around 7:30 to 9:00 AM and offers either lunch or brunch between 12:00 and 1:30 PM

MSC Main Dining Room Dress Code

MSC Cruises keeps the main dining room dress code elegant but easy to follow. Most evenings are casual, while a few are formal or gala nights. On casual nights, guests usually dress smart but relaxed. Men can wear khakis or dress pants with polo or button-down shirts and women often choose sundresses, skirts, or blouses with dressy pants. Even on casual nights, beachwear, shorts, and flip-flops aren’t suitable for dinner.

Formal nights bring a special touch to the cruise with everyone dressing up for the evening. Men usually wear a dark suit and tie or even a tuxedo, while women go for cocktail dresses or elegant gowns. During Gala Night, I wore a dark suit with a tie which matched the classy atmosphere perfectly and made the night feel extra special.

For children, the dress code is simple and comfortable but still neat. On formal nights, boys can wear dress pants with collared shirts, and girls can wear dresses or skirts with nice tops. On casual evenings, polos, jeans or simple outfits are fine as long as beachwear and sports clothes are avoided.

My Final Thoughts

Dining at the Main Dining Room was one of the highlights of my cruise. The combination of elegant atmosphere, friendly staff, and flavorful dishes made every meal enjoyable.

Even though the menus stay mostly the same across MSC ships, each dining room has its own personality. The quality, consistency, and presentation truly reflect MSC’s passion for food. Whether you’re trying the classics or exploring the daily specials, every dinner feels like an experience worth looking forward to.

Here are some images of the food that I have tried in the main dining room.

If you’re sailing with MSC in 2025, don’t skip the Main Dining Room completely. It’s the heart of the ship’s dining experience and the perfect way to make lasting cruise memories.
